Air New Zealand Changes Travel Rules
'As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the risk of our crew members contracting COVID-19, while still maintaining vital connections into North America, our passenger services to and from Los Angeles will change to operate via Honolulu from February 2, 2021, stated Air New Zealand on January 5, 2021.
'This change is to allow our crew members to overnight in Honolulu rather than Los Angeles. Crew members will then remain airside and operate the return flight to Honolulu, where there will be a further crew change to operate back to New Zealand.'
Additionally, on January 15, 2021, Air New Zealand's customers traveling from the United Kingdom and the USA to New Zealand will be required to show a negative test result for COVID-19 before departing. This new PCR test requirement will require travelers from the United Kingdom and the USA to have a written form, certified by a laboratory or another form of approved evidence, showing a negative result within 72 hours of departure.
