Avoid Visiting the United Kingdom
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Level 4 Travel Alert of the United Kingdom on July 19, 2021. This high-level warning says, 'Avoid traveling to the United Kingdom.'
And if you must travel to the UK, make sure you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before travel.
Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in the UK, even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus variants. See the CDC's recommendations for unvaccinated travelers on this webpage.
Furthermore, the US Department of State issued a 'Do Not Travel' to the UK advisory on July 19, 2021. Although some international travel is allowed by the UK government, U.S. government travel restrictions remain for travelers from the UK to the United States.
Visit the U.S. Embassy's COVID-19 webpage for more information related to restrictions and conditions in the UK.
Note: The State Department also issued a Level 4 'Do Not Travel' advisory for the British Virgin Islands due to health and safety measures and COVID-related conditions, on July 19, 2021.
