Which COVID-19 Vaccines Are Acceptable
Bloomberg News reported on April 25, 2021, the draft of the regulation between European Union (EU) governments says 'all COVID-19 vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency will be acceptable for travel throughout the EU.'
However, EU members are “encouraged” to accept emergency authorized COVID-19 vaccines that have secured World Health Organization approval. The final decision on which COVID-19 vaccines will be accepted rests on individual EU member states.
This news indicates leading COVID-19 vaccines such as Sputnik V could be excluded. The Sputnik V vaccine has been authorized in sixty-one countries.
According to GAVI.org on April 21, 2021, there are (91) COVID-19 vaccine candidates undergoing clinical trials.
