Moscow bans indoor events with more than 50 people
On March 16, 2020, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin informed various heads of government about the decision to temporarily restrict the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons, into the Russia Federation beginning midnight on March 18, 2020.
“During the negotiations, the situation related to the new coronavirus infection was discussed. Mikhail Mishustin informed the heads of government that in order to ensure state security, protect public health and not spread the coronavirus infection, the government of the Russian Federation made a decision to temporarily restrict entry to Russian Federation of foreign citizens and stateless persons until May 1, 2020", the report says.
This new restriction on entry will not apply to employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices in the Russian Federation, and certain other persons, such as drivers of international vehicles, crews of aircraft, sea and river vessels, train and locomotive brigades of international railway services.
And, the Russian Federation reported 93 cases of coronavirus infection during 2020, with 86 of them imported by international travelers.
The number of people infected in the capital Moscow has risen to 53 people.
Furthermore, from March 21 to April 12th, all sports, schools and additional education sections will be closed in the city of Moscow, said the mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, according to local media.
